Silverstone was the race debut for two recently sold cars which we prepared for their new owners. Both the Kieft-Climax and Lister-Costin are historic examples of British sports racing cars and have been prepared very much in period correct order.

In all, CKL fielded nine racing cars at this year's event, including the Gomm Special, Lister Knobbly, AC Cobra, and a pre-'63 E-Type driven by Guy Ziser and Oli Webb. Chris and Claire Keith-Lucas raced their XK120 and XK150.

The driver pairing of John Spiers and Nigel Greensall raced two Listers - BHL 152 and BHL 135 in the same race, finishing on the podium after a red flag shuffled the order and deprived them of a probable race victory. The Gomm Special won its class.

Ex Le Mans Keift Climax recently sold by CKL

The Kieft-Climax recently sold by our team also had its racing debut with its new owner at Silverstone. This car was the first Sports Racing car to use the Climax engine, and also ran Le Mans in period.
