DECEMBER RACING IN DUBAI

Dubai GP Revival and the 1000 Miglia Experience UAE

CKL-Dubai-GP-Revival-Team

This December has seen the CKL team making the trip over to the UAE - 3 cars and an extraordinary week in Dubai for the GP Revival and Mille Miglia.

A hugely successful race for John Spiers and Nigel Greensall in John's 1960 Lister Costin saw them achieve a P5 result amongst a grid of faster machinery including multiple GT40s.

It was also a pleasure to be supporting Gus Sabatié-Garat from RM Sothebys with his stunning Jaguar XK120 OTS - congratulations Gus on the superb result.

For the second running of the 1000 Miglia Homage UAE, we supported Jeff Gault in his XK-140, which has entered the Italian MM before. With co-driver Chris Ward on board, the duo entered in the 1000 Miglia class for cars from 1927-1957 from the existing list of Miglia-eligible cars. From Meydan Racecourse to Jebel Jais Mountain, it's hard to beat the stunning scenery from the Dubai/Oman 1000 Miglia.

What a way to finish our 2023 season of racing and events. We'll be back very soon but for now it's back to base for winter restoration and 2024 race preparation.
